LADA Questionnaire
Could your diabetes actually be latent autoimmune diabetes of adulthood (LADA)? This is a type of Type 1 diabetes that develops in adulthood, where the beta islet cells of the pancreas are slowly destroyed as a result of autoimmune disease. This is different from Type 2 diabetes, and does not respond to the typical Type 2 diabetes drug treatments. LADA patients will require insulin therapy.
If your diabetes has progressed despite you working very hard on diet and exercise, take this questionnaire to find out whether you may need more testing to rule out LADA.
